Chaintec target London through new distributor
Date : 24-09-2009

Chaintec has further expanded its business in the UK with the launch of a new regional operation to target Greater and Central London. The London office increases the number of Chaintec UK regional offices to seven and strengthens the company's coverage across the capital. Chaintec's London office is based at Mercury Limited, one of the UK's leading independent suppliers of industrial spare parts and specialist components (www.mercurybearings.co.uk).Established over 20 years ago, Mercury has depots in Bow, East London and Enfield in North London. Both depots now stock a wide range of Chaintec chains and can custom cut lengths to suit customer requirements and deliver product direct to customer site. David Hassan, MD at Chaintec, is delighted that this customer is becoming the latest Chaintec distributor, "Mercury is our first distributor dedicated to inner and outer London and it enables us to get closer to our growing customer base in and around the capital. With Mercury stocking chain in their depots, FLT operations across London now have unrivalled access to quality chain products and the highest level of service." Chris Clayden, Director at Mercury Limited, sees an exciting future for the partnership, "We are already experienced suppliers of roller and other chains and had identified a demand for high quality, cost-effective leaf chains within the FLT market. Having been a Chaintec customer for some time, we have first-hand experience of the product quality and competitive pricing that they can deliver and we believe that this package will be very attractive right across our region. From our depot in Bow, we are particularly well-placed to support the re-development works across East London for the 2012 London Olympics."
